NYCUP SIP 2012 Application
The New York City Urban Project Summer Immersion Program (NYCUP SIP) is open to any college student (including Seniors!) interested in deepening their understanding of how the Gospel of Jesus Christ speaks directly to issues of justice such as poverty, homelessness, racism, human trafficking and other social injustices; and learn and grow in a community focused on reflecting the Kingdom of God in the lives of the "least of these" so that we become lifetime leaders beginning with the next year on campus. Bible study, prayer times, speakers and field trips will empower, equip and inspire students to seek justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God.
Students will have room, board, and food provided by NYCUP as well as a Missions Internship (provided by NYCUP or proposed by applicant) with a non-profit organization in New York City. The program will last from June 16, 2012 - July 23, 2012. Students will be asked to build a prayer network and raise $2500 to support his/her work.
