Feed the Homeless

InterVarsity’s mission is the see lives transformed, campuses renewed and world-changers developed. The New York City Urban Project is committed to creating catalytic programs that give students the character and capacity to change the world. Thus, we have partnered with the NYC Love Kitchen, the Bowery Mission, the Relief Bus and others to provide practical and spiritual needs to those in need of food, shelter, clothing and a relationship with Jesus on the streets.

Feed 500 and Feed-a-Few is NYCUP’s principal work meeting the homeless where they are, the same way that Jesus met us; and training up leaders to put their faith into sustainable, transformative action. The homeless are not just people who “want money” and we are not just people who “have money”. The reality is we are both people made in the image of God, loved and cared for by Him. Feed 500 and Feed-a-Few take place at least once a month and equip volunteers and leaders with the practical training needed to outreach to those in need in New York City and around the country. You may download the latest version of the “Feed-a-Few Curriculum” here.
