It’s almost time! Join us in Cooper Square on Wednesday at 5pm. Hear from FOUR survivors as well as leaders in the movement including Norma Ramos (Exec. Dir. Coalition Against Trafficking in Women), Diana Mao (Co-Founder and Exec. Dir. of Nomi Network) and a special performance of “Trafficked”. That and much more is waiting for you and all your friends in Cooper Square on Wednesday.
So, some quick FAQ’s:
When do I show up?
Please be there at 5pm!
Who can come with me?
Everyone! Nothing that will be said will be inappropriate for children.
I’ve never been to a protest before. How does this work?
We will have leaders (pink umbrellas!), signs, and clear directions on site. All press and media are to speak with only Jonathan Walton and Norma Ramos, not anyone else. There will be a press conference at 5:30pm.
How long will everything last?
The entire two hours will be filled with music, performances, speakers, and of course testimonies from survivors. Two HUGE cards are awaiting your signature to be delivered to the CEO of Village Voice Media.
Any other questions, please email nycurbanproject@gmail.com.
See you there!
