The Love Kitchen:

… was full of Love. Eddy the chef, Danny, Mr. Jones, Felix, & Mrs. Jones are amazing. It felt really good to be the hands of Jesus by giving a plate of food to people who really need it. It is a great experience. It’s only been the first day and already I have been spoken to by God. Eddy and Danny’s testimony is very powerful. Eddy shared that he had drug problems in hi spast and also that he was very tough and straight up in his character; but now he is a really calm and sweet man; he did not at all seem tough and straigth up; he shared that God changed his character, and that is completely awesome. Danny was involved with gangs and spent 10 years of his life in prison. Today he is a strong believer in Christ and living for the Lord, no longer doing the things he did in his past. Felix is also living for the Lord and is always willing to serve at the Love Kitchen in any way that he can. Mr. and Mrs. Jones do an amazing job running the Love Kitchen as well as the Food Pantry.

Eddy just walked in. He is aman living for God by being Jesus’ hands and feet at the Love Kitchen where he cooks the meals. He is an amazing cook, his food is delicious. He cooks with a smile on his face and you can see the joy shining out of him as he watches people  come into the Love Kitchen and eat. Eddy used to be homeless. He had tough life and started living on his own when he dropped out of school at age sixteen. He began to used drugs and soon during his lifetime he became an alcoholic. He was homeless for about ten years. He was in jail in six different states countless times; he was also in an out of rehab. He rejected God and when his childhood friend became a Christian he didnt want anything to do with him. But God turned Eddy’s life around and on day as he was ready to commit suicide for the third time, he opened a New Testament Bible and allowed God to enter his heart. Eddy is no longer homeless and no longer addicted to alcohol nor drugs as he was before. He now lives to serve the amazing and powerful God who saved him and saw him not as the garbage man but as a golden treasure. Eddy has been the “chef” of the Love Kitchen ever since!  I have been praying for him because lately he hasn’t been feeling too well, but Praise the Lord because as he walked in just now he said he feels his strength back. PRAISE THE LORD!
